I’m writing about my homeopathic treatment so people understand what’s involved.
Several months ago I developed what turned out to be a very painful skin condition.
Thinking it was just an acute condition, I set out to treat it myself. To no avail.
I couldn’t see how it had come about as I hadn’t changed anything in my diet or in my environment. Of course, one can’t be sure what you purchase hasn’t been changed in some way. But I grow some of my own food, the rest is almost exclusively certified organic. I don’t use any chemicals either in the house or outside. There had been no emotional shocks or stresses.
As it progressed, it became obvious I needed outside help. At the time, I was between homeopaths for myself. No-one can see themselves objectively for chronic conditions; we all need help at some point.
I tried a couple of other natural therapies. They had the same effect as my efforts did. Nothing helped and it continued to progress. It became all consuming. I had to put projects on hold as I could only manage my clinic.
I finally found a great homeopath I felt very comfortable working with. She spoke my ‘language’. Her first prescription had no effect, either. But that isn’t unusual. When homeopath and patient first meet, there is so much that isn’t discussed. It takes time to get a feel for someone.
The next appointment was scheduled two weeks later and this prescription was a life saver.
The consultations were spaced every two weeks, then every three weeks as I progressed. Now I can happily go four weeks between them. At each consultation, she would tweak the prescription, bring in something additional or make no change, depending on how she could see I was managing.
Now, three months later, I’m 80% better. Still some way to go, but fully functional. And I know that I will be much better than before it started, when I finally don’t need the remedy/ies. It will have cleared the something that was the cause. I will have grown. I already get the occasional glimpse of a serene feeling.
This is how homeopaths work best. We need constant interaction at a deep level. It’s not possible to achieve what you want in a single consultation. Health is way too complicated for that.
What I found interesting were the sensations I had. It really helped me understand the different sensations a body puts out to tell you what it needs help with. I’d never experienced anything like it before.
Another interesting piece of information I stumbled across was that despite a seemingly healthy life, as we age all the repressed emotions (that inevitably come with our so called ‘civilised’ and artificial lifestyle) start to surface. And they surface as physical malaise.
The medical system has no idea what to do with emotions other than further suppress them.
I’m so appreciative that I found homeopathy. And I’m so glad the cat who pointed me towards it also received benefit from it. When you discover this fabulous system of health care, so many doors open that you didn’t even know existed. You could say it’s a liberation.
Absolutely, without any doubt, our (natural) health is our greatest asset. Homeopathic treatment is so far ahead of almost every other form of treatment.
This was a chronic condition that was debilitating. Those that aren’t debilitating would not necessarily need consultations more often than every month or less often. And acute conditions are unlikely to go on so long – they’re short lived and easily treated, for the most part.
