Hip pain and stiffness are some of the most common complaints of people as they age. However, these are less age related or genetic problems and more about bad habits or past traumas catching up with you.

Our bodies are very resilient. They cope with a huge amount of abuse. But they can’t do this indefinitely. At some point, your body will start to object and it does this by signs and symptoms.

Your doctor will tell you that the only way to go is down the drug and surgery path. But this doesn’t heal the problem or deal with the cause. This process only masks the problem. Drugs will only work for a while. There is quite a short life to replacement joints. After one, others are normally needed.

And the toll on your immune system is immense. You will be much more likely to succumb to passing pathogens that you were previously immune to.

Doctors like to blame genetics on every chronic disease, but this is far from true. Certainly they do have an effect on you, but it is tiny compared with other factors.

Genetics tend to have an influence on the expression of your problem, not on the cause. For example, you may have hip pain and stiffness, whereas your brother may have a renal issue. The genetics are the same, the expression is different.

Another aspect that you're never told about, is that by suppressing your natural signs and symptoms, your body deteriorates. Joint replacement tends to lead to heart problems in a few short years.

A Poor Diet Leads To All Health Issues

Diet is so often overlooked, yet it is the key to good, or bad, health. The advent of non-nutritious fast food has done nothing to support this.

Even if you do still eat badly the rest of the time, you are giving your body a chance to de-tox as well as increasing the nutrition.

Environmental Factors

The second area you have control over, at least to some extent, is your environment:

  • do you use toxic cleaning products
  • new furnishing tend to be very toxic
  • does your garden contains toxins substances
  • stress from family or work
  • medical drugs are toxic

Your Genetic Inheritance

Genes do affect your health, but they affect it more in the expression of the disease you have, rather than in the cause. For example, if you take ten people of similar background, age and gender, and they all eat the same diet and have the same stresses and toxins in their environment, they will all have health issues. But in different areas. One may have hip pain and stiffness. Another a skin rash. Another a respiratory problem. Another may get a UTI. Another may come down with digestive issues.

It isn’t your genes that are at fault. They simply give your ‘dis-ease’ an individual expression. It’s your diet and your environment that are the causes. And you can change those easily.
