Reduce Your Blood Pressure Naturally

If you want to reduce your blood pressure naturally then it's a good idea to know what causes it in the first place.

High blood pressure is also known as hypertension.

Blood pressure varies throughout the day, naturally. If you're active, the pressure increases to help you achieve. When you're relaxed and sedentary, the pressure lowers.

When you'e stressed, the pressure goes up, to settle back down after the stress passes. This means that if you're constantly or permanently stressed, your blood pressure will be high a lot of the time. Unnaturally so. Your body is in a constant state of readying for action.

Some people have naturally low blood pressure.

Normal Rises in High Blood Pressure

Your blood pressure is likely to rise when you have it checked, as you'd be feeling stress.

If you check it yourself, do so at the same time every day, such as just after waking up or getting up.

If your arteries are narrow, then your blood pressure will rise. That’s like having a kink in a hose pipe – the pressure has to rise to get past the kink.

Reducing blood pressure in every situation is not a healthy way to go. For example, if you reduce the water pressure in a hose pipe with a kink, no water will get through. If blood flow is reduced to areas of the body, nutrition can’t get through. Parts can get cold, numb or worse.

So you need that pressure.

Blood pressure normally increases with age. This is because the flexibility of the cells reduces with age. This is normal.

When you're 50 or 80, your body is not the same as when you're 20. Why would your blood pressure be the same?

Common Causes of High Blood Pressure

Apart from the stress already mentioned, one of the main causes of chronic high blood pressure is diet.

The common western diet is at an all time disaster. It isn't just the fast food, the junk food and processed food that are all nutrient deficient. It's the lack of fresh fruit and veggies. It's the high consumption of animal protein.

We are not carnivores or omnivores. We're herbivores. We thrive on a diet rich in fresh fruit and veggies. If you don't believe me, try it for a month and see for yourself.

A diet high in animal protein is totally unsuitable for humans. It creates a bevy of health ailments.

How To Reduce Your Blood Pressure Naturally

This means, a change of diet may be just what you need. The natural foods to reduce blood pressure are lots of fresh fruit and veggies. As much as you want or need. Don’t restrict this.

In addition, there is another key factor.

Do you remember there used to be a saying 'chew your food'? Maybe your mother told you.

It's incredibly valuable advice.

When you chew greens or beets or whatever thoroughly, the nitrates in the food are converted into nitrites by the action of the saliva.

Once this is swallowed, it is converted into nitric acid with the help of the stomach acid.

Why is Nitric Acid Important?

Nitric acid expands the arteries without making your heart pump harder. This means more blood flows and at a lower pressure.

More nutrition reaches the body parts, increasing your ability to function easily.

Reducing Stress

Although this may be all you have to do to reduce your blood pressure. it's a good idea to deal with chronic stress.

Stress is a big factor in all areas of health. Exercise, yoga, tai chi, etc and meditation all help. But they may not be enough. People drink and smoke excessively  usually because of stress. Deal with the stress and the bad habits disappear on their own.

Stress is often a habit that was created in childhood. A habit was set up that helped you at the time, but now may be less beneficial. The best, and usually fastest, way to help unravel the past habits that no longer serve you is homeopathy. Homeopathy is a gentle, yet deep acting system of holistic medicine that supports your body’s best efforts, that restores an ailing immune system to full functioning.

Reducing your blood pressure naturally may just be the start of your journey to better and lasting good health.
