We know that thinking has a major impact on health, otherwise psychologists and psychiatrists wouldn’t exist. There would be no mental health institutes. There would be none of the mind altering, psychotic drugs that are used to ‘normalise’ such unfortunate people.
What isn’t so well known is HOW it affects us and HOW to grapple with it.
It’s when we think negatively. About anything - our health, our neighbours, our governments (yeah.OK!)… This creates a resistance in us. And that resistance is in opposition to our true nature.
Our true nature is love. Not the romantic love that everyone connects with the word. It’s the love that is given so freely by animals, especially those we are close to. It’s unconditional. It’s respect. For who someone is and where they are in their journey through life.
It just is.
Most small children still have this love, this awareness of everything. Which is why they can so easily connect with animals and Nature in general. Even with animals who have learned that people are dangerous, so become dangerous themselves.
We live in an artificial world. You could say that everyone is affected by negative thinking because society is hell bent on keeping the status quo. We’ve all been subjected to the channelling of mainstream education, which does its best to alienate us from our true nature.
Each of us are three faced. One face is that which we present to the outside world, which is how we have learned to get on. Another face is more our true selves, which we expose when we feel safe, such as at home.
The third face is the conflict between the two, which tends to unsettle us. It’s this third face that indulges in negative thinking as it struggles to make sense of the incoming data.
Who should we be? What should we think? Will we be accepted if we don’t accept the mainstream narrative? This uncertain thinking has a major impact on health.
I came across the idea of resistance as a major cause of health issues just a few years ago. I needed to allow it to percolate down through my levels of consciousness to really understand it.
Let’s say you hear something on the news or media that makes you irritated. Perhaps even angry. Perhaps even violent.
Instead of allowing the irritation, anger or violence to vent, pause. That is possible as long as you are aware and catch it in that micro-second before it erupts.
When you do, you can start to appreciate that these are wonderful opportunities for you to examine WHY you felt the way you did.
Very often, that will take you down a path that leads to something that deeply affected you in childhood, that you’ve never been able to resolve. Children are sensitive. Adults don’t always recognise this.
The more deep psychologic or emotional impacts that are left unresolved, the greater the likelihood they will eventually manifest as physical pathology. It often takes years.
The idea is to accept what is. That doesn’t mean you have to comply. Far from it. You just need to accept that others are on their own journey, just as you are.
When you do that, you are also energetically allowing the other room to change, to see a way out of their issues.
‘Out there’ is not your problem. At least not while you’re resisting it.
The very first thing to do is to accept responsibility for your condition. Once you do accept that you created it, you can also appreciate that you can heal it.
Perhaps the biggest impact on you is to understand the need to slow down. The fast paced world prevents you from hearing the whispers of your instincts. When you slow down and learn to listen to them, they will always help you. When you understand them, they are very reliable.
To achieve this, meditation can help. Even 15 minutes a day can make a big difference over time.
A faster way can be with good homeopathic treatment. Most professional homeopaths are less interested in your pathology than in how you tick. This is because we understand that the core of your pathology lies in your personality.
Appreciate that thinking has a major impact on health. So try to replace the negative with positive.
Appreciate you are responsible, which gives you the potential to heal it.
Appreciate the ability of homeopathic treatment that explores the cause, rather than just looks at the effect.
