Ways To Prevent Influenza

There are many ways to prevent influenza, or the flu.

First, it behoves you well to understand why you get the flu in the first place.

The flu is just a collection of upper respiratory symptoms that can be debilitating, but not serious. No one dies of the flu. You may die WITH the flu, but not from it, despite medical claims. See below.

There may be body pains, a slight fever, discharges and fatigue.

Reasons For The Flu

There are multiple reasons why people get the flu. However, it all leads to one malfunction - your immune system is in poor shape.

This can be from overwork and not enough deep sleep. It can be from a poor diet. Flu often occurs in the winter, when people are feeling rather low with the cold, grey days.

This can accompany a deficiency of natural sunlight on the body as well as the mind.

It often comes from a high toxic load. It can be from living in poor conditions, not just physically, also emotionally.

When the body has had enough and really can't manage anymore, it will create a condition where you HAVE to stop and rest.

This can also mean a de-tox as toxins have to come out in a discharge.

With all this in mind, it becomes easy to see ways to prevent influenza.

Ways To Prevent Influenza

  • Make sure you eat well. This means lots of fresh fruit and vegetables that should make up the bulk of your diet. Raw is best. Eat lots of green, leafy vegetables and salads. Avoid or limit processed food (white sugar, artificial sweeteners, white flour, white rice). Limit dairy and meat.
  • Get plenty of sun. These days, the sun has an unfounded bad reputation. If you’re not getting enough sun, it’s likely you’ll never be well. How much is enough sun? That depends on you, your skin colour, your location and the season. But I suggest one hour is the minimum daily exposure (not necessarily in the middle of the summer, in the middle of the day).

  • Make sure you keep your liquids up. Drink when you’re thirsty. Often people mistake thirst for hunger. Avoid or limit soft drinks.

  • Adequate rest is essential in keeping your body healthy. If you are burning the candle at both ends, don’t expect to remain healthy.
  • Taking a whole food (as opposed to the common synthetic) supplement can be hugely beneficial in topping up any nutritional deficiencies that may be caused either by your diet or by the way food is produced. Spirulina is one of the best whole food supplements.
  • Be a happy, optimistic person. If you’re not that sort of person, work on it, or get professional help. Optimistic people are much healthier than pessimistic ones.
  • Get regular exercise, preferably out in the open, definitely one you enjoy.
  • Avoid drugs which suppress and add to your toxic load.
  • Avoid synthetic supplements.
  • Use homeopathy as your primary health care. Homeopathic treatment works by gently stimulating your immune system, making the liklihood of disease less and less possible..

These measures are the best ways to prevent flu, whatever the strain. An added bonus is that they are the best ways for any disease prevention; and for reducing or eliminating any current ill health.
