What Causes Cramps?

What causes cramps? Any cramps, anywhere.

Discovering this can lead to a total cure.

Cramps are painful spasms. This can be in the muscles, such as leg or arm. Or in the uterus. A common cramp for women is during the menstrual period, when they can be doubled up in abdominal pain.

A common cramp is in the leg calf muscles especially after training.

Any condition can be your body telling you that you need to take a closer look at your health.

It may be that:

  • your diet isn’t providing you with the necessary nutrients
  • you’re not looking at health care holistically
  • you’re avoiding an emotion you don’t want to face, but need to, to move on

Whatever it is, look upon any area of your ill health as a positive signal, that you need to take some action.

Dietary Causes of Cramps

Let's look at diet first.

Cramps occur because the muscles were not able to release the contraction. One of the most important nutrients that are needed to release this contraction is magnesium.

Before racing off to purchase a magnesium supplement, consider your diet. Magnesium, in the balanced form (ie with other complimentary and supportive nutrients) only occurs in food. Supplements tend to isolate the nutrient. This is nowhere near as healthy as consuming nutrient rich food.

The foods that are naturally rich in magnesium are all the green leafy vegetables. These should be consumed in abundance.

Bear in mind too, that if you are deficient in magnesium, you are likely to be deficient in other nutrients. This is common in the west with all the unhealthy food around.

Consider Your Health Holistically

Although diet can be one of the most common causes of any condition, especially the junk food, the oils, the processed food, the animal protein, etc, it is by no means the only cause,

Medical treatment always focuses on the outside of the body, the germs. Their idea is to kill these off and to suppress your symptoms. No connection is made to the whole of you.

This does not lead to health.

When your body in healthy, it is perfectly capable of dealing with germs all by itself.

A healthy body tells you when you are out of balance by your symptoms. They are valuable. Don't knock them! Don't suppress them. Deal with them honestly and holistically, supporting your body's best efforts instead of suppressing them.

Your body is infinitely wise.

Holistic treatment, such as homeopathy, looks upon you as a perfect and healthy whole who has been knocked out of inner harmony often by some emotional crisis.

By energetically healing these emotions, the physical problems melt away. We are whole beings! Our minds are very powerful and easily create physical conditions and diseases.
